Traditional Tai Chi was created as a therapeutic martial art to help the monks stay healthy as they got older as well as provide them with the skills to effectively defend themselves when needed.

This class will stay true to the tradition and focus on both the therapeutic as well as the self-defense aspect of Tai Chi. You will get a balanced workout that offers various health and fitness benefits through traditional Tai Chi form exercises with the emphasis placed on relaxation, coordination, balance, and mobility. We will break down every movement and will take the time to explain, demonstrate and help you practice each self-defense application in a safe controlled environment.

Through regular attendance and practice you will be able to move with grace and ease as well as improve your internal strength, health and energy. In addition you will gain confidence and self-defense knowledge and skills that will help you protect yourself if needed.
