BRUCE LEE’S FIGHTING ART
“THE STYLE OF NO STYLE”

Jeet Kune Do / JKD (way of the intercepting fist) is a martial art created by the late Bruce Lee by using Wing Chun as the foundation and blending concepts and methods from various Chinese Gung Fu fighting styles as well as other martial arts such as Western Boxing, Fencing, Savate, Muay Thai, Judo and Jiu Jitsu. JKD emphasizes the ranges of combat, economy of motion, and doing what is natural. It utilizes a scientific approach to street fighting that is designed to work in real situations.

It is important to note that Bruce Lee did not consider his art a fixed style but a philosophy and a collection of strategies, principles and techniques that are cohesively blended together and continuously adapting and evolving for the purpose of developing the mind, the body, and the spirit through martial art. In our teaching we preserve the physical as well as the philosophical aspect of Bruce Lee art.
